ARTE PROJECTS IN NEW ORLEANS AT PROSPECT.1 :

arte projects, in partnership with Artadia will host an exhibition and series of events, arte projects at Prospect.1, in New Orleans which will showcase accomplished, contemporary, multi-disciplinary artists from Louisiana, or who have recently made work in connection to Louisiana. The main exhibition and events will take place at Gallery 527 Julia Street during the first two weeks of November, concurrent with the opening weeks of the Prospect.1 - US Biennial. There will be an adjunct exhibition of New Orleans artists and workshop/ performance space at of The Colton School which will run the entire period of Prospect.1. The two-week exhibit and program is a charitable event created in support of the regional arts community and will culminate in a silent auction of donated work - all proceeds of which will directly support two Louisiana artists at arte projects’ artist residency program arte farm, which is located in the creative community of Woodstock, New York.

1.30pm to 3pm - arte projects Special Performance Art piece, “Hopscotch,” by Julia Mandle Performance with the International School students.
4pm to 6pm - Prospect.1 Panel Discussion: Re-imagining New Artistic Landscapes after Fragmentation with with artists and curators including Dan Cameron, Director/ Prospect.1, Nato Thompson, Curator/ Creative Time, Cay Sophie Rabinowitz, Writer/ Curator Athens Biennale, Paul Laster, Editor/ artkrush and Ron Bechet, Chairman of Department of Fine Arts/ Xavier University of Louisiana.
