The Artadia Awards application opens to eligible artists in Cook County beginning on May 1 , 2008 (12:00:00 AM CST) through August 29, 2008 (11:59:59 PM CST). Please visit the award application section of our website to learn more.

About the Application
The Artadia Awards online application includes an applicant profile section, an area to submit a C.V. (curriculum vitae/artist resumé), artist’s statement and eight (8) images of artwork and/or details; or Video/Media/Sound. Time-based media submissions may be sent by mail in addition to, or in lieu of the 8 digital images submitted online. The jury will review up to 5 minutes of the submitted Video/Media/Sound. Complete details are available once an application is initiated and the eligible applicant logs in.

About the Jury Process
Artadia convenes nationally recognized panels of jurors from around the country for two rounds. In the first round a jury of three reviews applications and determines a shortlist for the Artadia Awards to be announce in September 2008. The second jury of three meets with the shortlisted Finalists in studio visits, each 45 minutes-long in October 2008. The Awardees will be announced then. An exhibition of the awardees' work and an accompanying full-color publication will follow in 2009.
